Meet Chad Kamen: A Major Sponsor at The Hunger Walk
Hi! I’m Chad Kamen, a 7th grader at Kentucky Country Day. I have taken a leadership role in the Dare-to-Care Hunger Walk on September 19, 2010 by organizing a team called “Team Food Chain”. I have raised $10,000 in corporate sponsorships and have become one of the main event sponsors!
The concept behind Team Food Chain is to “link families together one meal at a time”. We as a society have become so busy that dinner time is at a threat of being lost in our American culture. Moreover, not only have we forgotten to feed ourselves properly, millions go hungry throughout our nation. 1 out of 5 children face hunger right here in Kentuckiana – that’s 4th worse in the USA!!! Team Food Chain’s mission is to bring back the critical importance of dinner time and in doing so help get a healthy meal on the table for families who can not afford it.
