Dare to Care announced 12 partner organizations as award recipients of their pilot Partner Investment Program, which is making historic investments in organizations fighting to eliminate hunger. The pilot program is a part of Dare to Care’s initiative to invest in and empower the network of nonprofit partners they serve.
The pilot program’s goal is to invest in the launch of innovative solutions and provide funding for resources strengthening an organization’s potential to meet their goals. All award recipients are working to help historically disadvantaged populations.
A total of 60 applicants applied for the investment program and 12 were selected for a total of $250,000 in investment. Funded partners were determined based on specific criteria for eligibility including clear and thoughtful explanation of program/project needs, clear budget spending details and clear timeline, and focus areas including accessibility, client-centered, and equitable.
Award recipients for the pilot program include the following organizations:
- Americana Community Center – $10,000
- Bringing Justice Home – $9,900
- Catholic Charities of Louisville – $40,000
- Center for Lay Ministries – $1,900
- Feed Louisville – $50,000
- Harrison County Community Services, Inc. – $25,000
- HighPoint Charitable Services – $20,000
- Jewish Family & Career Services of Louisville – $13,700
- Overflow Community Center – $16,500
- Simpsonville Christian Church Food Pantry – $50,000
- SPARC Hope – $6,000
- Trustees of Indiana University on behalf of IU Southeast – $7,000
As this a pilot program Dare to Care hopes to learn and evolve the program into an annual opportunity for partner organizations across Kentuckiana.
