Ventura Foods has expanded its recall of Sunglow Unsalted European Style Butter Blend (16953 SNG), 1lb individually wrapped print, 36 units per case because it contains trace amounts of an undeclared allergen, soy lecithin. The expanded recall is limited to products produced at Ventura Foods’ Albert Lea, Minnesota facility between November 9, 2017 and December 28, 2017. The affected lot numbers are located on the cardboard shipping case and embossed on the inner parchment wrap.

No illnesses related to this product have been reported. The trace amounts of soy lecithin contained in the product is not likely to cause adverse health consequences. However, people who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to soy run the risk of severe or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product. Please isolate any product and destroy it in a secure manner to prevent unauthorized consumption. If you have product stored out of the case and are unsure of the code date please destroy this product also. Your distributor will be able to issue you credit. Please note that proper procedures must be followed and these cases may not be returned to your distributor. If you have further distributed any of this product, then you are responsible to notify all consignees of this recall.
