53 years ago on Thanksgiving Eve, tragedy struck our community when
nine-year-old Bobby Ellis died of malnutrition in his Louisville home. In the
days and months that followed, our community joined together to make sure
what happened to Bobby would never happen again. Out of this movement,
Dare to Care Food Bank was created.

Each Thanksgiving season, Dare to Care and Interfaith Paths to Peace invite the community to join us for a time of reflection and remembrance.
