We are so proud to share our new, expanded Community Kitchen – an enduring gift to the community thanks to the generosity of the Novak Family Foundation and other kind supporters. This 24,000 square foot facility in the heart of the Parkland neighborhood houses Dare to Care’s production and innovation kitchen, a job training kitchen in partnership with Catholic Charities Common Table program, and a demonstration kitchen and classroom space.
The $7 million project is the result of client-focused research and collaboration with a multitude of community voices and partners to provide new ways to nourish our community. With increased capacity, designed to nimbly adapt, we will expand our existing meal delivery programs and make best use of the food resources available in our region. For example, we can now take the abundance of farm-fresh produce harvested in Kentucky summers and ensure it is chopped, prepared, and flash frozen to be enjoyed when it is most needed by families.
