September is Hunger Action Month

September is Hunger Action Month—a time to raise awareness, inspire action and stand alongside neighbors experiencing food insecurity. More than 200,000 people across Kentuckiana—including 1 in 6 adults and 1 in 5 children—are facing hunger, making community support more important than ever.

Everyone has a role to play in creating a nourished community. By donating, volunteering, advocating or simply sharing information about available resources, you can help ensure our neighbors have access to the nutritious food they need to thrive.

We are deeply grateful to our Hunger Action Month sponsors for standing with Dare to Care and investing in this critical work. Their generosity helps us provide food, hope and support to families throughout our region. Together, we can take meaningful action toward a hunger-free Kentuckiana.
